German "Dinnete" with Bacon

German Christmas market classic: dinnete! This flatbread/pizza-like specialty can be baked in the oven or little raclette-pans. Perfect for the holidays!

Utensilien

  • Bowl
  • Kitchen towel
  • Knife
  • Chopping Board
  • Raclette or baking tray + oven

Zutaten
  

For the dough:

  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 150 ml water
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the topping:

  • 80 g Speck (Southtyrolean bacon)
  • 80 g cream cheese

Zubereitung
 

  • Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead until you've got a smooth dough. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for approx. 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Spread the dough on raclette pans or a baking tray. Bake for approx. 5 minutes, turn it after half of the time. Meanwhile, cut bacon into small cubes.
  • Put 1 tbsp cream cheese on every dinnete, 1 tbsp of bacon and bake for another 2 minutes.

Tipps

If you want to bake the Dinnete in the oven, roll it out or spread the dough with your hands to the size you want. Bake for approx. 15 minutes at 200 °C, add the topping after 10 minutes of baking.
