Dandelion Syrup

Homemade dandelion syrup for drinks & as a home remedy for a cold!

Portionen: 4 jars (250 ml each)

Utensilien

  • Sieve
  • Pot
  • jars 250 ml each, with lid

Zutaten
  

  • 5 handfuls dandelion flowers
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 2-3 lemons organic
  • optional: some ginger

Zubereitung
 

  • Carefully wash the dandelions and put them in a pot with sugar, sliced lemons and approx. 2 l water. Bring to the boil and boil for 15 minutes on high heat.
  • Strain the syrup and let it simmer without dandelions and lemons in it for approx. 2 hours until it becomes thicker and more honey-like in consistency.
  • Pour into clean jars while still hot.

Tipps

If you want to add some extra-healthiness to the syrup, put some fresh ginger into the syrup during the first 15 minutes of cooking.
