Easy Gingerbread Cake

Easy gingerbread cake – soft, fluffy, tasty and so simple. You need almost no equipment to make this! Enjoy best with some icing sugar and whipped cream on top. This is THE cake recipe we all need right now!

Utensilien

  • Grater
  • Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Baking tin

Zutaten
  

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 ml cream
  • 170 g butter soft
  • 330 g flour
  • 220 g sugar
  • 3 cm ginger fresh
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • 1 pinch salt

Zubereitung
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grate ginger root and lemon zest. Combine all of the ingredients with a whisk.
  • Pour the batter into a baking tin and bake for 45 minutes. Let it cool and serve with icing sugar.

Tipps

You can use a gingerbread-spice-mix if you don't wanna buy all those spices.
