Easy Gingerbread Cake

- 4 eggs
- 200 ml cream
- 170 g butter soft
- 330 g flour
- 220 g sugar
- 3 cm ginger fresh
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 lemon zest
- 1 pinch salt
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grate ginger root and lemon zest. Combine all of the ingredients with a whisk.
Pour the batter into a baking tin and bake for 45 minutes. Let it cool and serve with icing sugar.
