Easy Apple Cake with Yogurt & Cinnamon

Quick & easy baking: Apple cake that is super soft and moist because of the yogurt in the batter, with fresh apples and a cinnamon-sugar-topping that caramelizes while baking. Yummy!

Zutaten
  

For the batter:

  • 150 g yogurt
  • 130 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract/vanilla sugar
  • 50 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder

For the topping:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar

Zubereitung
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Combine all of the ingredients to a smooth batter.
  • Wash and peel the apples, cut them in quarters and remove the seeds. Carefully cut into each quarter with a knife – be careful not to cut fully through!
  • Use a little sunflower oil to brush the baking tin, dust it with flour and pour the batter into it. Add the apples, mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of the cake.
  • Bake for approx. 30 minutes. Enjoy!
