Swedish Kanelbullar - cinnamon rolls

  • Baking paper
  • Baking tray

Zutaten
  

For the dough:

  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch vanilla sugar or a little vanilla extract
  • 500 g flour
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 pinch cardamom
  • 350 ml milk

For the filling:

  • 25 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 50 g sugar

Zubereitung
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients for the dough and let it rest for approx. 3 hours at room temperature.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Melt butter and combine with cinnamon and sugar. Brush it onto the dough and cut the dough rectangle in half. Put one half on top of the other, cut into stripes and make "knots".
  • Bake at 180 °C for approx. 20-25 minutes.

Tipps

You can use spelt flour as well!
