December: White snowflakes, christmas markets, the town is beautifully decorated – it’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love Christmas, the aura of mystery and magic sourrounding the world and the town. The smell of cookies, cakes and christmas dinner; all the festivities and wonderful atmosphere.

…let’s now talk about a very important part of our christmas (and family-) culture: making christmas cookies. Kneading the dough, cutting them out, smelling the scent when they are in the oven – it’s like a startsign for christmas-time at home. Every year, we are making lots of cookies – more or less 10 different kinds. So, now I would like to present you my Advent-posting-idea:

Every Advent-sunday (there are 3 left) I will post two cookie-recipes. Most of us can’t await christmas – so do I – and in this way I hope to make the waiting time a bit more interesting and exciting! I will present you my personal best recipes, which we make every year. These are the basic-recipes, some added or removed; some more creative and some more standard. All in all these are the perfect recipes for the cookies we make every, every year! Tested by dozens of family members, friends, colleagues…

I hope we’ll all enjoy this weekly posts, I’m already excited to show you my first recipes – anyone who wants to guess which kinds of cookies are meant? I give you a hint: They can be made with or without marmelade, it’s always the same dough.
And as I didn’t have this idea a bit earlier (before the first Advent…) I am gonna post 2 recipes this week – one for the first, already missed Advent and one for this week’s Advent!
Now, stay tuned and keep waiting for my recipes: On Sunday, December 6th, you can read the first two on my blog! Hope you all enjoy wonderful december! 🙂
